Get rid of the competition

You must get rid of the thought of competition. You are to create, not compete for what is already created. – Wallace D. Wattles –

When I first read this I remember how freeing it was for me. I would always (and still do if I’m not careful) compare myself with others and with what others were doing. Without realizing it I was competing for what was already created. In other words I was creating competition for something that was already done and so the pie started to shrink.

I became exposed to the idea that all we do is create. – We are creating all the time. Earl Nightingale said, “Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us.” I began to see that we have the opportunity to choose what we create by choosing what we focus on. In my case I was creating competition. I was creating scarcity without even knowing it.

You are now, and you do become, what you think about. – Earl Nightingale –

When we hold the mental image in our thoughts of the things we want to be, do, or have in faith and with gratitude to the one who made us. We attract the resources necessary for these things to happen.

This is not easy work and it requires us to be intentional and vigilant. But it’s the only way to live into our purpose and potential and into the infinite possibilities we posses.

Get rid of the competition—create your own space.
