Auto pilot

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” – C. G. Jung –

As I welcomed a mentor into my life I discovered that most of what I did in my personal life and in my insurance business, was being directed by my subconscious mind. I was on auto pilot mode and didn’t even realize it or understand it as such. And what made matters worse? The pilot had been programmed to take me to a destination other than the one I wanted to go to!

I started learning that I needed to take it off of automatic pilot and take back the controls. And I needed to program in the new, more desirable coordinates and remain present as pilot of the plane in order to stay on track. No matter what came my way. Whether it was the wind, the rain, or any other element or distraction.

These elements left unchecked had been previously taking me off course. Sometimes I had to make crash landings or I was just plain stuck, and had to fly in circles, over and over, round and around I went without really getting anywhere.

Making this type of change is not easy work. This work, in most cases requires us to learn from and be guided by someone who has already navigated their way through the process. And that person must be willing to share with us what it takes to make our own way through.

Do you have such a person in your life?

Are you on auto pilot?

How do you know when you’re on auto pilot?
