A tribute to The John Maxwell Team

I recently joined the John Maxwell Team to become a certified coach, teacher and speaker and It has been such a great experience! In just a short few months I have learned valuable lessons from the faculty and fellow team members.

As a tribute to the faculty, I share some of the lessons I have learned from each of them.

Scott Fay – Maxwell Philosophy Training

The quality of the questions you ask determines the quality of the answers you receive. Reflect and plan every day, by stepping back and asking yourself good questions.

Scott has helped me to raise the level of my effectiveness by inspiring me to ask and think through good questions and carefully plan everyday.

Christian Simpson – Coaching Training

Coaching is an essential part of great leadership and requires being present for and focusing on the other person, helping them to find the answers they need from within themself. Taking yourself out of the picture, asking them questions, listening and asking more questions while paying attention also to what is not being said.

Christian has helped me to improve my relationships with family, friends, co-workers and customers, in fact, with everybody that I come in contact with.

Roddy Galbraith – Speaker Training

Confidence is preparation. Everything else is beyond your control. Practice, practice, practice; prepare, prepare, prepare and over prepare then deliver like you’ve never delivered before.

Roddy has helped me to understand the importance of effective communication and helped me to become a better communicator.

Melissa Malueg – Mastermind Training

Celebration is essential because it feeds your passion and allows you to use your emotions in a positive way. “The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your emotions.” – Tony Robbins

Melissa has helped me to get in touch with my emotions and use them to move in a more positive direction.

Ed DeCosta – Sales Training

Selling, more than anything else is about building relationships and passionately caring for people. And all of us can do this.

Ed has helped me to get the focus off of me and really pay attention to the other person.

Paul Martinelli – President

We have been programmed to believe what we can be, do and have. Therefore success starts with changing what we believe is possible and until we change inside there is no permanent change made on the outside.

Paul has helped me to examine, identify and start to change the limiting beliefs that I have of myself.

John C. Maxwell – Best Selling Author of over 70 books

To whom much is given, much is expected. We all have to give an account to God on how and what we do with our lives.

John has helped me to realize a higher sense of purpose.

Just a few valuable lessons that have already helped me and my inner circle to experience improved results… and the journey has just begun…

Thank you to The John Maxwell Team!

Which of these lessons resonate with you the most?

John Maxwell said, "Everything rises and falls on leadership". I buy into that and have been a student of leadership for over 25 years. I was born and raised in Jamaica and reside in South Florida with Edna, my beautiful wife of 25 years. We have one daughter and have gained a son, her husband. I am the president of Robin Lewis Insurance, a full service Independent Insurance Agency. My passion is to inspire and guide others into discovering and reaching their God-Given potential. This blog was created to support that cause. You can expect a new post every week on the topics of Leadership, Personal Development, Insurance Solutions and every now and again some Personal Thoughts. My hope is that we can encourage, strengthen and challenge each other. Your comments are encouraged and welcomed here anytime!
